Catherine Tianhong Yu 于天泓
HCI Researcher - Computer Scientist by training - Engineer by failing

I am a 4th Year Ph.D. student at the SciFi Lab at Cornell University, advised by Prof. Cheng Zhang. Currently, I am visiting the WI Lab at University of Washington, working with Prof. Yiyue Luo. My research interest lies in creating wearables that are disruptive (novel technology) yet familiar (existing everyday objects/behaviours). I am particularly excited about textile-based interfaces.
Previously, I received my B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon Univeristy. During my Masters, I worked on machine-knitted sensors, advised by Prof. Mayank Goel and Prof. James McCann.
Feel free to reach out to me! CV is available upon request.
